Last week Denver hosted the second largest rock, mineral and bead show(s) in the country. Six different locations provided treasures for rock lovers… like me.

Important days, like rock shopping days, have to be planned in advance. When the time finally came for my crystal extravaganza, I was prepared. There are important things to consider; the right shoes, one could be walking all day in and outdoors, water, snacks, tote bag, cash, business license. Everything was in place, deals were happening; I was exploring, discovering and generally having a great time. Until I began to feel strange, disoriented and then dizzy. The second time the dizziness came I checked in with my guides. Water? No. Food? No. Grounding? Yes. What? I was ungrounded in the world of rocks?

I prayed for help grounding and getting centered, within moments I was no longer dizzy. Quickly I checked myself for something grounding. Necklace? I was wearing a simple gold chain and pendant. Rock in my pocket or purse? I had removed everything heavy for the show. What? I was naked; a Lightworker without rocks. Like a knight without armor, a fairy Godmother without her wand. My protection was missing, my magic lame. Standing in Middle Earth, surrounded by vibrations of every kind, I was an empathic mess.

The issue was quickly resolved. My new rocks weren’t clear, so I went to my car and found a special, hard-working aventurine. Aventurine has many uses; one being luck, but that day it grounded me and brought in protection from energies that zipped around like flies.

The moral of this story: check in! Ask, and ask and ask some more. The truth is, I had a vision of myself wearing a vintage necklace that was in my studio, but I forgot to get it. I wore it the second day, and one of the vendors complimented it and inspected it closely telling me it was tourmaline, a perfect stone for grounding. If I had taken the time to check in with my guides before I left, my super-shopping day would not have been interrupted.

You don’t have to be clairaudient to receive messages from your guides. Ask as if the answer is coming, then let it go. Open yourself to being blessed with conclusions, answers and gifts in multiple forms. The Universe is an open and intelligent place, trust it to bless you and take care of you.

Blessings,

Holly
